Robert Street in WC2 boasts an illustrious history, once being the site of magnificent Adelphi Terrace which fronted the River Thames with its elaborate arches supporting the first purpose-built apartments and Chambers in London.
As you can see from the images the exterior is a magnificent example of neo-Georgian Stucco architecture, however, in 2015 the building housed bland office space. We and the developer had other plans.
Over an intense build period in a location where access was difficult at best and council rules can never be overcome, 10 stunning apartments were created, complete with the highest specification fixtures and fittings, synonymous with this developers work. Also, a single four storey townhouse, one of only a handful of river fronting properties of its size.
The apartments and house were sold well before completion generating a profit of half a million pounds.
